Worthing Arts Council

The Worthing Arts Council (WAC) provides a space for arts groups, organisations, clubs and societies to share ideas, create partnerships, access funding and work together to raise the profile of the arts in the town.

With every key arts organisation joined up from Rainbow Theatre to RAG West Sussex Writers Club to Worthing Philharmonic Choir  WAC is one of Worthings movers and shakers and represents over 4500 people.

WAC helps to stage significant events in the town like the We Love You poetry weekend, and has working groups looking at key arts development themes for the town. In 2003, WAC made its first grants to other arts organisations, including RAG and the Worthing Music Festival. In 2004, WAC secured over 1000 of funding, and commercial support, to stage the We Love You festival.
