The Roundabout Club

Want an evening of off-the-wall, slightly anarchic, all-round entertainment? Roundabout is brought to you by a gang of edgy artists, renegade rockers, wonderful wordsmiths and acoustic acrobats. After a year of fine-tuning the mix in the comfortable surroundings of The Barn Theatre, Worthing ... Roundabout left to go on the road in 2005, with appearances during Horsham's Arts Fanfare and a packed Tsunami Benefit at St Matthew's, Worthing.

Roundabout is a also a funky (very occasional) magazine, available as a hand-finished limited-edition featuring the best in edgy, new writing from artists and writers from West Sussex.

Sarge and Gaynor Barber were married at Centenary House registry office at 11.00am Thursday 1st September 2005. Many will remember the happy couple as the crew for the Tsunami Appeal concert in January. They also provided security at the '2' exhibition in the Fringe Basement in Brighton. The bride and groom were attired in motorcycle leathers for the ceremony and rode off to the Sussex Yeoman on 750cc bikes, escorted by a gang of ex-Hell's Angels from the happy couple's chapter of the Christian Motorcycle Association. I'm sure all RAG members and supporters will join me in wishing them well for their future!

Roundabout Loves You!

Celebrate Valentines Day in style and comfort with the third annual We Love You festival.

Past We Love You festivals have seen a diverse range of arts activities happening. The first festival, in 2003, saw RAG founders Dan and Tracey Thompson stage a bed in at boutique guesthouse The Acacia. Meanwhile, the towns roundabouts were hung with banners telling passing motorists We Love You.

And last year, Worthing Arts Council joined the celebrations, with members including Rainbow Theatre, Fairground Booth Theatre Company, West Sussex Writers Club and The Textile Arts Forum staging three days of events, culminating in a poetry competition which received over 150 entries.

This years We Love You will see popular arts and music club Roundabout return to St Matthews, Tarring Road, Worthing.

Over a dozen bands and performers have come together for a West Sussex art organisations own version of Live Aid.

The team behind RAGs Roundabout have put together a massive line up for a special event on Saturday 15th January. The night at St Matthews, Tarring Road, Worthing, will raise funds for the Disasters Emergency Committees Tsunami Earthquake Appeal and also provide a much-needed donation of tools for Friends of Maldives.

Among the diverse acts appearing are Eagles tribute Flyin Eyes and calypsonians The Bamboo Band. There will be acoustic rock from Arrowsmith-Stezaker, and an acoustic appearance by Shiseido Red. Folk band The Golgi Apparatus, St Matthews own Veritas Band and singer-songwriters Adrian Truman and David Pickersgill will also appear.
