Pick up your paintbrush, grab your camera or use your artistic talents to create a piece of art that could be exhibited at the prestigious Mall Galleries, London.
Artists of all forms are invited to enter Art Liberating Lives, a competition that culminates in an exclusive exhibition that celebrates the power of art as a form of therapy, expression and liberation.
Artworks must be created to the theme of “liberation”. Selected pieces will be shown at the Art Liberating Lives exhibition at London’s prestigious Mall Galleries in December.

Two workshops at a Brighton venue offer a chance to explore dance and performance.
Internationally acclaimed physical theatre artist Yael Karavan leads the first workshop. Caravan has collaborated with DEREVO, DV8 and Phillppe Gaulier.
And an intriguing 'silent dialogue' workshop will be lead by Ryuzo *censormode*uhara, a Slovenia-based Butoh artist.

Coastal Currents celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and is focusing on visual arts and moving image work from artists in Hastings and across the South East.
Organisers are calling for artists proposals for temporary interventions in empty shops, commercial spaces and work within the public realm across Hastings and Rother. This year's theme is 'Hidden Hastings' which aims to peel back the layers of creativity and the unique spaces in the town to make the hidden Hastings visible and vibrant.

On Sunday 19 July a new event is set to bring Horsham Park to life in a riot of colour and laughter.
Horsham�s Big Day Out will be an exciting summer event that will combine the best in free entertainment including a live music stage, strolling entertainers, a giant picnic, creative workshops and the �Big Splash� carnival parade. The event will be complemented by a traditional fairground and run from 11am to 6pm. Previous park events such as this have attracted in excess of 7000 visitors.
A trade marquee will be in operation on the day offering a variety of crafts, local produce and gifts.

A new contemporary art gallery, showcasing the best Sussex artists and makers alongside special guests, will open for artists to see the space next week. The public opening is planned for 23rd May.
The Dome Gallery will be on the ground floor of Worthing's landmark Dome, a Grade 2* Listed early 'Kursaal' or entertainment complex. The architect-designed gallery will be fitted with a professional hanging system, lighting and a range of illuminated plinths.

The Myth of London Road is an arts project exploring what life on London Road, Brighton is like today.�
Anyone who lives, works or shops on London Road is invited to submit photographs, stories, or poems about their experience of life on London Road.� A selection of the work submitted will form a large community art exhibition taking place in the Co-op department store throughout Brighton Festival Fringe in May 2009.
