End of the Pier film-makers wanted

Two opportunities have arisen for anyone who is looking to broaden their experience in film making by getting in some first hand practice with the End of the Pier International Film Festival.

A  local PR company is looking to make a short film regarding public opinion on Worthing as a town and other local issues.  This is a high profile project and the client will be looking for a competent camera operator with his or her own equipment, plus a location sound recordist and editor. This is not a paid project but will help any aspiring and focused individuals to further their career.

And for the second opportunity, a local Worthing retailer is looking to take part in the forth coming Worthing carnival on August 31st and is setting up a float with a Dr. Who theme.  He requires a number of males to dress up as various Dr. Who characters to be present on the float for the duration of the parade. A fitting will be held the weekend before the carnival. This is for a local Autism charity.
He also requires, as above, competent camera operator with his or her own equipment, plus a location sound recordist and editor. This is not a paid project but will help any aspiring and focused individuals to further their career.

The End of the Pier International Film Festival is also looking for individuals who have access to and are willing to wear costumes from the Victorian era for Worthing Pier Day on 20th September 09. When the festival will be screening old archive films on the pier as part of the overall event. The Festival hopes to turn this into a competition where prizes will be awarded to the best dressed Victorians.
