Visitors to Spofforths new offices might think they're at an
art gallery not at an accountants.
To accompany the accountants move to new offices at Yeoman
Gate, Goring by Sea the Revolutionary Arts Group have hung art in the foyer,
meeting rooms and other public spaces in the building. The two businesses have
an established relationship - with Spofforths supporting the Revolutionary Arts
Group's annual Artists & Makers Festival for the past three years, and the
Revolutionary Arts Group laying on special exhibitions for Spofforths clients -
many of whom have become keen art collectors through the relationship.
Two artists feature in the first collection shown at Yeoman
Gate. Debbie Zoutewelle has exhibited widely, including shows on London's Brick
Lane, Brighton's Start Gallery and a solo exhibition at Petworth House Gallery.
Work exhibited with Spofforths includes a large woodland painting, a series of
oils inspired by Turner's Petworth paintings and more abstract work in meeting
rooms.
Dan Thompson has shown in the Brighton Festival, founded the
Artists & Makers Festival, and has exhibited in the Adur Festival. He has a
series of small abstract collages in a more intimate space - Spofforths kitchen-diner!
"Art is often seen as a last addition to an office, but
thanks to our great relationship with Spofforths, we were measuring up spaces
before the fit out even started," says Dan, "meaning that we get a
great new exhibition venue and Spofforths get an inspiring environment for
staff and visitors."
The Revolutionary Arts Group are already planning to hang
more work at Yeoman Gate, and for those unable to visit will be adding images
to the website www.artistsandmakers.com. For more information, or to find out
