Circus! - An Exhibition of art and craft on a circus theme, in aid of Rockinghorse (Registered Charity No. 1018759)
The Green Tree Gallery is proud to announce, in conjunction with local charity Rockinghorse, the exhibition CIRCUS. An artistic exploration in to the surreal and colourful world of this ancient tradition of live performance.
The wonder of the circus has survived the centuries; how astonishing to behold acrobats, magicians and clowns; elephants, lions and prancing horses; fire eaters and snake charmers; the noise and the smells; the music and the colour; the grandeur of it all! One might think that in a world of internet and television, the Travelling Circus has had it's day, but its magic continues to enthral.
The Circus Exhibition at The Green Tree Gallery will recapture the magic and the spirit of the old fashioned Circus. Featuring work by three of the gallery�s favourite artists: Illustration by Pippa Chorley, Sculpture by Julie Janvrin and Ceramics by Victoria Lovell.
10% of sales from the exhibition will go to local charity Rockinghorse. |
