Literary luvvies get wordy with romance for Worthing show
On Sunday 15 February theyll be making a welcome return to Worthings Ardington Hotel on Steyne Gardens for an exciting programme of staged readings on Love, Lust, Desire, Romance, Frustration, Jealousy and a whole host of emotions to entice the listener.
The Wordies have been performing at the Ardington for just over four years and have a devoted audience who love their quirky mix of funny, poignant or just plain outrageous items.
Love and romance are universal topics, but we always try not to be too serious about anything we do, says co-founder Wendy Greene. Its so important to take life with a pinch of salt, so if our audience wipes away a tear, wed rather it was a tear of laughter!
The line-up of local actors is impressive. Russ Bravo, of Matts Comedy Club, published poets Wendy Greene and Audrey Lee, local playwright and actor Gill Medway, and drama teacher and actor Jane Ware are all regular Wordies. This time theyre welcoming the return of stand-up comedian and actor Simon Ware, who also happens to be Janes husband.
The performance starts at 6pm, to be followed by a fabulous dinner at the hotels Indigo Restaurant. Call 01903 230451 for menu details, and to book your seat. Follow this blog for more news of the Worthing Wordies.
