Just The Words

Poets from RAG's Roundabout will celebrate National Poetry Day with an evening at a boutique b&b. The nationwide celebration has taken 'Food' as its theme this year, so expect some tasty poetry.

Steve Carroll (pictured), known as RAG's loudest poet, will perform a set for original material.

Dan Thompson will perform his own material, alongside a few favourites by authors like Benjamin Zephaniah, Roger McGough and John Hegley. Dan will have been performing in a range of local venues throughout the day.

Special guest Russ Bravo, best known as editor of a national newspaper, will also appear. Further guests are yet to be confirmed.

RAG's Roundabout - Just The Words - takes place at The Acacia, Warwick Gardens, Worthing from 8 - 10pm on Thursday 7th October. Admission is free.

Both Steve Carroll and Dan Thompson appear in the 'Ragged Edges' anthology, available from selected bookshops price 3.99.

    Roundabout
Bottling the early 21st century zeitgeist, Roundabout is brought to you by a gang of edgy artists, renegade rockers, wonderful wordsmiths and acoustic acrobats.
