A day in the life of Shoreham by Sea
A day in the life of Shoreham - that's what a group of writers will capture at Shoreham's Agora.
The empty shop in New Road has hosted a whole range of activity since it was first taken over by the Empty Shops Network in January. And for the latest project, members of the Brighton Future of News Group, a collection of journalists, bloggers and social media fans, will run a drop in service at the shop on Saturday 16 October, from 11am until 4pm.
People are invited to come along and share stories of Shoreham, and bring items of interest into the shop for a blog running throughout the day at http://shorehambfongproject.tumblr.com Entries will include text, videos, audio clips and photographs.
The team will also be running skills sharing sessions offering help with Facebook privacy settings, teaching people how to blog, use Twitter, edit digital photographs and even try their hand at shorthand.
Agora is in a formerly derelict shop at 1a New Road, Shoreham by Sea. The space is tun by the Empty Shops Network, and has been funded by Adur & Worthing Regeneration. Agora's director Dan Thompson will be on hand throughout the day to tell people how they can get involved and use the space.
