The Artists & Makers Festival

"An independent spirit and plenty of creativity ... an ever-growing showcase of contemporary arts and crafts, live performance and web-based artwork from Warnham to West Worthing, Steyning to Shipley and Pulborough to Plummers Plain." West Sussex Gazette

The Artists & Makers Festival sees a packed programme of music, poetry and performance ... alongside a trail of artists' open houses and studios across West Sussex.

The festival takes place every July, and previous years have seen Bill Drummond's myDeath.net project, Big Chill Recordings, photography from writer Dave Gorman, the Textile Arts Forum, West Sussex Writers' Club and much more.

The open houses and studios across West Sussex offer a chance to view and buy contemporary arts & top-quality crafts, meet the best artists and makers in the region and see behind the scenes in their homes & studios. Whether you’re taking in the stunning countryside around Pulborough or Nuthurst … looking for a handmade gift in Horsham …  or wandering around Worthing … the Artists & Makers Festival open houses and studios season has something for every taste and budget.

Full festival listings are co-ordinated by RAG and a full colour guide is available from June in Tourist Information Centres, Worthing Museum & Art Gallery and The Capitol, Horsham, as well as all participating venues.

"Last year I was inspired by Artist and Makers to return back to craft making." Anne Davies
