Award-winning Coventry-based theatre company Theatre Absolute premieres its brand new production All The Things Id Do For You at its empty shop theatre venue in Coventry from 14 to 17 June.

The all-new production, written and directed by award-winning playwright Chris OConnell, is a desperate love story and the first
play in a programme of work created by the company that will bring intimate and epic theatre to the heart of Coventry city centre over the next 18 months.

All The Things Id Do For You is the first play to be written specifically for the UKs first professional shop front theatre, and the intimate confines of the former Fishy Moores fish and chip shop in Coventry city centre mean audience members can expect to be right at the heart of the drama.

Theres no hiding place, the action takes place within touching distance of the audience, says Chris OConnell. They will be like voyeurs so weve had to experiment with how much we can keep back from them in order to maintain a real dramatic electricity.

OConnell says the play was written to make the most of the Shop Front Theatres sparse surroundings.

Weve pared everything down to the bare minimum, even the dialogue, he explains. Its really been a case of experimenting with the space as much as the storytelling.

The production stars Kate Ambler, who appeared in Theatre Absolutes last production ZERO, and Jonah Russell, recently seen in Sound & Furys acclaimed production Kursk.

All The Things Id Do For You runs from Mon June 14 to Thurs June 17, with performances at 7.30pm each night. There will additional matinee shows at 1.30pm on Weds June 16 and Thurs June 17. Tickets, priced 5, are available now from the box office on 0845 680 1926 or via http://www.oxboffice.com
