    Brighton Art Fair

The hugely popular Brighton Art Fair (BAF) opens its' doors again this September to showcase 150 national and international artists. In just four years, the BAF has become a firmly established annual event with a strong reputation for exceptional quality in a welcoming, friendly environment.

Brighton Art Fair takes place in the regency splendour of the Corn Exchange between 27 30th September 2007 and is the largest single visual art exhibition on the South Coast. Around 5,500 visitors passed through its doors last year purchasing more then half a million pounds worth of art direct from the artists as well as commissioning work for various art projects.

This year around 150 painters, printmakers, photographers and sculptors will be exhibiting. Artists are chosen in a rigorous and competitive selection process to represent the highest quality and most original work across as wide a variety of methods and subjects as possible.

Brighton Art Fair is unique amongst the major art fairs in that it encourages artists to sell their work direct to the public. Visitors meet the artists - learning about their inspirations and methods of working. The fair is as much for the art enthusiast as it is the art novice.

Organisers, Jon Tutton and Sarah Young have been busy sourcing artists with inspirational work for the annual show. They commented,

This years fair looks to be the best yet, the standard of applicants has been higher than ever, and regrettably we have had to turn away two thirds of these due to lack of space! Brighton has a large number of incredible artists and we are pleased that many exhibit with us, but BAF is increasingly becoming a national and an international event.

Visitors love the quality and variety of the work and enjoy the relaxed, informal and friendly atmosphere of the show. Brighton Art Fair has introduced many people to buying original art for the first time and they are coming back every year to add to their collections.

Tickets are available to book in advance or on the door priced 5. Entrance includes a detailed brochure of the artists and work on offer.
