RAG artist Tracey Thompson is well known in Sussex for her striking contemporary portraits, and has specialised in acrylic paintings of children and young people.

Since completing a BA (Hons) in Fine Arts (Painting) at Northbrook College, Sussex, in 2000, Tracey has exhibited in UK galleries, including the Start Gallery (Brighton), Chromos Gallery (Canterbury) and Worthing Museum & Art Gallery. She is currently working on a portrait of Peter Bottomley, husband of Virginia Bottomley and Member of Parliament for Worthing West.

Many of Tracey's works, which often combine screen print and painting, are now in private collections.

A series of paintings from 2001 - 2002 characterise Tracey's dedication to her painting. The three portraits are of young people from housing estates in Worthing, Sussex, who are pictured against a screenprinted background of their own graffiti. To tackle the subject, Tracey spent time with the subjects, as a street-based youth worker.

Prices for commissioned portraits by Tracey start at under 200.
