TV star Zoe Lyons headlines at Worthing comedy gig

There's a cracking bill lined up at Matt's Comedy Club on 11 June at Worthing's Connaught Studio, with the return of TV regular Zoe Lyons.

Zoe created a huge buzz on the comedy circuit in 2004 when she won the 'Nivea Funny Women Award 2004' and reached the finals of 'Channel 4's So You Think You're Funny Award in the same year. As a result she has become a highly sought after act on both the national and international circuit.

In recent years she's become a regular on TV, starring on Dave's One Night Stand, Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, Mock The Week, The Wright Stuff and a stack of other shows, plus BBC Radio 4 and Five Live.

Zoe takes a sideways view of life, picking out the many absurdities and turning them into hilarious routines which she delivers with tremendous energy. This will be her third show at Matt's.

Also returning for his third appearance is Danny Ward, building up to his 2015 Edinburgh Festival show St Vitus Dance. Life happens to Danny on a regular basis, and his mix of bizarre anecdotes, clever punchlines, well-hidden one-liners and sneaky puns are sure to provide an entertaining set.

In support are housewife chatterbox Linda Larkin, back for a longer set following her acclaimed spot at our recent James Acaster gig; slow-burn observationalist Simon Ware and engaging jokesmith Dan Fardell. MC as ever is Matt's co-founder Russ Bravo.

Tickets are just 9 (7 concessions) from Worthing Theatres (01903 206206 or and Matt's Comedy Club ticket outlets Parklife, Bath Place; Music Mania, West Buildings and The Lazy Brunch, Goring Road.
