Blue Monkey Network is pleased to welcome to Eastbourne Matt Roberts of London-based organisation, Matt Roberts Arts, a dynamic not-for-profit organisation founded in 2006 to create opportunities for artists in new locations and contexts. Matt Roberts Arts offers support to creative practitioners by providing a range of professional development programmes and national and international touring exhibitions.
1-2-1 portfolio reviews with Matt Roberts: Saturday 19 November are available by appointment. Matt will look over images of your work with you, discussing your career progress thus far and trying to offer practical advice on ways to develop the exhibition and professional opportunities which are available to you. Each session should last around 45 minutes. Matt Roberts talk: How To Apply To Open Submission Prizes and Awards will draw on Matt’s seven years experience of running the Salon Art Prize, Salon Video Prize and Salon Photo Prize at the Matt Roberts space in Vyner Street. Matt will talk about how to make the best possible application, and common mistakes to avoid. He will discuss the various British prizes available and examine the submission process step by step, highlighting key information selectors may be looking for. Sunday 20th November, 6.30 – 8pm (Doors open at 6pm). FREE to Members of Blue Monkey Network and Matt Roberts Arts. Non-members £5.
