Defending the Caveman - Worthing's Pavilion Theatre
Local favourite Mark Little returns to Worthing’s Pavilion Theatre, direct from the West End , with his critically acclaimed show Defending the Caveman.
A year ago Mark previewed his one-man show at the Pavilion before embarking on a successful West End run at the Leicester Square Theatre. Now he returns to the scene of his first shows after receiving an Oliver Award which named Defending the Caveman ‘Best Entertainment’.
Once again Mark will defend the male species in a role that was created and performed by Rob Becker in San Francisco in 1991 and remains the longest-running solo play in Broadway history. The play crosses all cultural barriers with its timeless and funny look at modern relationships and has been translated into 16 different languages. Amid the hilarity, Defending the Caveman is so accurate, it is supported by RELATE, the UK ’s largest relationship, counselling and sex-therapy provider.
Defending the Caveman features hysterical insights into the reality of relationships. Whether he’s talking about contemporary feminism, masculine sensitivity or the erogenous zones, both sexes to roar with laughter and recognition at the tales being told. It mines the common themes in relationships and is told with Mark Little’s inimitable humour so that each story goes straight through the funny bone and into the heart.
Best known for his role as Joe Mangel in Neighbours, Mark is no stranger to Worthing and most recently endeared himself to audiences when he played Chuckles in the 2008 pantomime Snow White after which he went straight into Defending the Caveman.
Mark has been involved in countless international comedy festivals and films, starred in Taboo both on tour and in the West End and recent toured Tim Firth’s Safari Party.
Whether you’re male, female, married, dating or single, Defending the Caveman will provide hilarious insights into every relationship, the differences between men and women and deliver plenty of candid humour and wisdom.
