The Art of Picture Framing

The Revolutionary Arts Group have teamed up with a bespoke picture framer for an unusual event for artists and art collectors.

On Saturday 28th March and Saturday 4th April, the group will be based at Trevor Rush's Chichester workshop, to give advice on professional picture framing to both artists and art collectors.

The organisation have been behind dozens of exhibition, have worked with hundreds of artists, and have run popular artists' open house schemes across the county, so are experienced in the art of framing. And of course Trevor himself has framed work for hundreds more professional artists, with museums and gallery clients including Chichester's Pallant House Gallery. He will be available to talk about bespoke and conservation-grade framing.

The Revolutionary Arts Group will help visitors find something suitable from hundreds of new and reconditioned picture frames which will be on sale at low prices, or advise on something made-to-measure. And framing supplies like mountboard will be available.

There will also be paintings and prints for sale in the workshop's gallery space. Trevor Rush has regularly exhibited work by artists including Ron King, Peter Hutton and David Holmes. Alongside their work will be rare limited edition prints by well-known Sussex artists and some bargains from the Revolutionary Arts Group's artists.

The event takes place at Trevor Rush Picture Framing, Unit 30, St. James Industrial Estate, Westhampnett Rd, Chichester on Saturday 28th March and Saturday 4th April, between 11am and 4pm
