The Myth of London Road Explored for Brighton Festival Fringe
The Myth of London Road is an arts project exploring what life on London Road, Brighton is like today.
Anyone who lives, works or shops on London Road is invited to submit photographs, stories, or poems about their experience of life on London Road. A selection of the work submitted will form a large community art exhibition taking place in the Co-op department store throughout Brighton Festival Fringe in May 2009.
The theme for the project is myths and whether you choose to create a myth or explode a myth is up to you!
To find out more, request a project pack (including a disposable camera) by e-mailing, saying who you are and why you want to take part. Alternatively you can take pictures on your own digital camera and email them as high resolution j-pegs or send written work to Useful Arts.
The deadline for all entries is 5pm Monday 30th March 2009.
The Myth of London Road is being co-ordinated by Useful Arts, a Brighton based community arts organisation run for and by service users who attend the drug, alcohol and mental health treatment services in the city.
