Budding Artists Wanted For Garden Show
Art in the Garden, curated by underground art + design and taking place at the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, Hampshire, and is one of the most exciting exhibitions of contemporary art, craft and sculpture in the UK.
Each year new and established artists are given the opportunity to show and sell their work to a new audience. This year the focus of the exhibition will be on new and emerging artists, giving a showcase opportunity for the UK’s growing creative industries. There are a selection of opportunities for artists and makers at all stages in their careers to exhibit to the 150,000 visitors to the gardens every year.
Exhibition OpportunitiesFeatured Artist – an established artist with a strong body of new work suitable for outdoor exhibition from May – October, who can also mentor the artist in residence in August.
New Graduates – artists who have graduated in the last two years with work suitable for outdoor exhibition.
Established Artists – with work suitable for outdoor exhibition.
Mentored Artist in Residence – a new or emerging artist to work for one week at the gardens to create a new sculpture for Art in the Garden 09. The artist will also run some workshops as part of their work experience under the guidance of the mentor artist.
To apply: Send pack to include up to 10 images of current work, cd with jpgs (2 images on hard copy), hard copy of CV, artist’s statement and SAE for return of images and other materials.
