The West Sussex Art Society makes a return to Worthing Museum and Art Gallery this autumn with its exhibition, Journeys of the Imagination.
Worthings oldest art club has shown members work here since the 1940s, although it was founded in 1929.
The Societys membership is made up of professional and amateur artists, and features established and new names living and working across West Sussex.
Valerie Shepherd, Sally Verrall, David Hobden, and Jeff Sharp are just a few of the featured artists.
Some 80 paintings, drawings, prints, mixed media, sculptural and ceramic work will fill the Studio Gallery with affordable art and craft which explores the artists vivid imaginations. Pieces will be chosen from a selection of members most recent work by a panel of experienced judges, including Paul Cox, artist and lecturer at Northbrook College, and Emma Walder, our own Curator for Art and Exhibitions.
The exhibition is runs from 4th October-6th December 08 at Worthing Museum & Art Gallery, Chapel Road, Worthing.
On Saturday 22 November, 10am 4pm, members of the Society will demonstrate their skills for visitors to see and ask about, so pop in and see for yourself at this free, drop-in event.
