Anyone who has been faced with a blank page and the task of filling it with words will understand the problem of writers block whether its a speech that has to be written or your next novel, its something that most can empathise with.
But what to do abut it? Writers hub The South is running a series of workshops that offer practical advice and solutions to the problem, lead by Sandy Hutchinson Nunns of literary therapy organisation Brighton Lapidus.
These two morning workshops, starting on 4 October, give the opportunity to explore a real problem that you may be experiencing - and find a real solution to it. It could be a problem that you the writer are experiencing, or it could be that your characters are stuck in treacle.
Cara Courage, director of The South, comments: It doesn't matter what form of writing you bring fiction or non-fiction, poetry or academic tome or if youre just seeking to improve your personal journal writing or client notes; this workshop is open to both therapists and writers, of all levels, dealing in poetry, prose, academic or journalistic writing.
