Worthing's Music Hall

A true end-of-the-pier experience is promised when Worthing's musical and theatre groups come together to stage an Old Tyme Music Hall Variety Show.
Worthing Light Opera will perform extracts from Gilbert and Sullivan's The Mikado. Miss Susan Stacey will appear as the Diva of the Halls. Peter Lock will stage a tribute to Nelson Eddy and Jeannette Mc Donald, who co-starred in eight Hollywood musicals in the 1930s and 40s.

The Nicola Miles School of Dance, Worthing Gymnastic Group and the Glendale Theatre Studios will all stage performances.

The Edwardians will appear as The Flower Sellers of Piccadilly and Cockney Kings' and Queens. And Dogan Mehmet will add a Musical Interlude to the packed bill.

The event takes place at Worthing's Pavilion Theatre from 7pm on Sunday 7th September. It will raise funds for the Mayor's Charities - the Citizens Advice Bureau, SCOPE, and Stray Cats Youth Centre.
