Green Tree Gallery at Borde Hill Gardens
The Green Tree Gallery is the creation of two women: Julie Janvrin, sculptor and Jules Middleton, painter. Friends for over 15 years, they have spent many of them talking about setting up their own gallery before finally doing it!
In the heart of the Sussex countryside, The Green Tree Gallery is based in a charming wooden barn situated in the beautiful surroundings of Borde Hill Garden near Haywards Heath. Sandwiched between the established art centres of Brighton and London, owners Julie & Jules hope the art gallery will fill a void in the Mid Sussex area.
In its simple light interior the gallery will feature a wide range of arts and crafts from both local artists and those further afield. The pieces range from unusual hand made greetings cards to vibrant canvases depicting abstract landscapes; from ‘touchable’ raku fired figurative sculptures to delicate silver jewellery; from the beautiful colours of stained glass to hand hewn wooden bowls… and so much more.
The Gallery will be launched over the weekend of Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th March, from 10am-5pm. Visitors are warmly invited to come and browse while enjoying a glass of punch and a range of live music events.
The Green Tree Gallery is situated in the main car park at Borde Hill, just outside the entrance to the Garden (parking is free). Opening Hours will be Tuesday-Sunday 10am – 5pm.
