Arts Development Officer - Chichester
The arts in Chichester district is reaching national and international audiences - with the acclaimed programme at Chichester Festival Theatre and the Gulbenkian Award for 2007 to Pallant House Gallery. And Chichester District Council are offering an exciting opportunity to ensure that the excitement is reaching local residents - building upon the work already being delivered through the West Sussex Arts Partnership and by the arts organisations of the District.
A new Arts Development post has been created for a fixed term, currently three years, whilst the Arts and Heritage Development Manager (who has previously delivered the arts development work) is leading a multi-million pound project to build a new museum with offices and housing elements at Tower St., Chichester.
This appointment is therefore both an opportunity to build upon the existing work and partnerships and to develop and demonstrate the benefits of arts development work to the Council and the community.
This post could also be undertaken by a self-employed freelance worker, subject to discussion.
