There's an evening of mucis and poetry and the HQ Gallery, Lewes on Friday 8th December at 7.30pm. Prince Roger is a singer /songwriter from Bognor Regis. He writes songs that explore the glamour, romance and beauty of life -or lack of it, on the English South Coast. He sounds a bit like Richard Hawley or Neil Hannon.
The Strained Assembly are an indie trio from Brighton. Kit, Hanney and
Tony, playing guitar, bass and keyboards, play songs that are packed
with pop tunes and intense emotions, with the literacy of Bright Eyes
or Jeffery Lewis.
Gary Goodman is an artist and a poet whose long rolling, half chanted delivery and
tender adjectival pile-up poems always please me. (Alan Hay) Gary will be delivering Dylan-esque freeform poetry in his usual style.
Our Great Adventure are brothers Mike and Tony Kus, playing guitar and
piano. They formed last year, they play contemporary alt-folk;
evocative, atmospheric music, with mesmeric melodies, like Adem or
Midlake.
