The Forge Gallery, Walberton is is only a small gallery, but is well worth looking into.
At the moment
(until Aug 30th) they have a really good exhibition, mainly of children's
illustrators, including work by David Armitage of "The Lighthouse Keeper's
Lunch" fame.
The exhibition also includes sculpture, ceramics and textiles - all
very desirable!
The gallery is in a converted forge, at the end of a row of 15th century cottages. Future exhibitions include a Christmas show (October - December) with work by a range of artists and makers including Piers Ottey (art), Kitty Shepherd (ceramics), Karen Norfolk (sculpture), Michelle Green (silk painter) and Mary Mead (silk weaving).
Pop in - you're sure of a friendly welcome. It's open 10am
to 5.30pm Tuesday to Saturday; and 10am To 4pm on Sunday. A small gem! |
