Networking for Artists, Makers and Designers
Since it was formed by a studio-based group of artists in late 2000, RAG has held regular networking meetings, alongside training sessions for those involved in events like open houses, with an aim to support the professional development of artists and makers.
And in recognition of its work, RAG has been accepted as a member of the APD Network, a UK-wide intelligence and exchange forum for organisations developing information, advice, training and professional development services for artists and makers.
At the core of RAG's professional development work is the popular RAG Network. And the next networking event takes place during the Artists & Makers Festival in July. An open session, the event will look at 'Pricing Your Work'. Future events planned include an art materials swap, portfolio sessions, and a look at 'Working With Websites'
"RAG help in nearly every way possible," britart.com artist Nathan Bean says, "it raises my profile as well as my confidence. RAG represents an amazing amount of support that's always there."
The Artists & Makers Festival RAG Network will take place in the Studio at Newnum Art, Oxford Road, Worthing from 7 - 8.30pm on Tuesday 11th July. Admission is £3 and places are limited.
