Call For Artists - 'Canvassing Spurs' New Art Competition

Children's charity Kith & Kids, in association with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, invites artists to produce works of art to interpret and explore the essence of Spurs - to immerse themselves in 'the beautiful game' and create artworks in any medium that convey the brilliance, style and flourish of Tottenham Hotspur FC. 

The body of work will form a public exhibition and money will be raised for the charity's work with children and young people with disabilities through a Grand Draw for these artworks. Spurs stakeholders, supporters and the public are asked to purchase the art  - the twist is, they won't know which work they are buying! Whether it's by an emerging student, a celebrity or a highly established artist, no-one will know until the Grand Draw is made at a glittering Gala Evening on 6 April 2006 at White Hart Lane. Tickets for the art Grand Draw include seats at this Gala event.

Artists may also choose to enter their work for an Award; the First Prize of £1000 and further prizes of £750 and £500.

The deadline for submission of artworks is 6 March 2006. These are welcomed from professionals, art students and amateur artists. Celebrity artists are also invited to submit pieces.

Photographic images are available for artists' inspiration and source material.

Based in North London, Kith & Kids is a charity working with families who have a son or daughter with a learning disability, many of whom also have a physical or sensory disability. A wide range of projects and programmes integrate and support the children, young people and their families and provide vital services to allow them to achieve empowerment and social inclusion.
