RAG Artists in Brighton Exhibition

The contemporary gallery, which has quietly reappeared back in its orginal venue, is about to start its fourth exhibition ... and it features work from RAG artists Dan Thompson and Eva L.

123-124 Queen's Road, Brighton is a beautiful, spacious venue and makes a perfect gallery, and until a permanent tenant is found, contemporary gallery will be holding fortnightly exhibitions promoting the best rising stars and established artists from the South East.
Fantastic artists are queuing up to take part, and the exhibitions will feature installation artists, video, printmaking and photography alongside painting and sculpture - who knows what will happen - and who knows when it will end!

Artists in Show 4:  Sujo Remi, Paula Fash, Amy Cooper, Jamie Wyld, Wycliffe Stutchbury, Dan Thompson, Chris Cain, Eva L, Moyra Martin, Vince Donlin, Alex Dipple, Sam Lock, Michael Collins-Shea, Anne Young, Sarah Reilly.

The exhibition features beautiful, small, multi-layered abstract paintings by Sam Lock and a steel 'three dimensional drawing' by London installation artist Sarah Reilly, as well as an eight foot high ink drawing by Anne Young and photographs of the abandoned flats which were above a previous contemporary gallery by Amy Cooper. The exhibition is unique in bringing together such diverse art forms and is intended to provoke a strong response from the public.

As the contemporary gallery is run by artists for artists, the commission rate is very low, so all work that's for sale is reasonably priced - whether it's paintings by the next hot talent or sculpture by familiar Brighton names.

The fourth exhibition opens on Monday and continues until Tuesday 10 May.  Opening times are Mon - Sat 11.00am - 7.00pm and Sunday 12.00pm - 5.00pm.
