Everything Is Beautiful

Everything is beautiful is a new project based around the belief that everything we do, say, see, experience etc is of value and thus everyone has a duty to express themselves with absolute disregard for the standards that society or the media sets for us.

Nothing is shit because everything no matter how seemingly insignificant can and will affect someone’s day to day existence.

This project aims to bring this philosophy to life. The task is simple ... write a poem. That’s it, that’s all you have to do. The poems will not be subjected to any kind of editing and every one will be published. The aim is to get around 20-30 poems (that’s being hopeful but you gotta have hope), which will all be published anonymously and there will be no charge for the book or any fees for publication.

The only rule that you must adhere to is that you submit the work by April 30th 2005. There is no minimum or maximum number of words and the theme is chosen by you. You may have already written something that you’d like to submit or you may be inspired by this concept. Once the submission date has passed or 30 poems have been collated the book should be published (on a home computer) within two or three weeks and those that email their poems will receive notification of where and when the books will appear or how they can get hold of a copy. In the event that more than 30 are received the remaining poems may be used in a second book should the response be large enough.
