The Commission
A contemporary development at 52 Palmeira Av, Hove, is offering a commission for two sets of gates for the front entrance of the development: one for the vehicular entrance and one for the pedestrian entrance. It is essential that the gates compliment the style of the building whilst also working as stand alone pieces.
Technical Details
The budget must cover the designing, construction and fitting of gates.
Approximate size of the gates:
Vehicular gate 4500 x 1100mm
Pedestrian gate 3000 x 1100mm
The vehicular entrance will require a pair of inward opening mechanized gates which can be controlled from a key pad and remote control key fobs.
Gates must be in metal, hardwood or other durable material(s). Materials should be long lasting and low in maintenance.
Timescale and Process
A site visit is offered for 14th February at 2pm, a site visit is recommended as there will be the opportunity to see some of the interior of the building. If you would like to attend the site visit please contact Lucy Jefferies on the details below.
Artists are invited to make a submission to include:
* A brief outline of designs
* A preliminary budget
* A CV
* Evidence of previous work
The deadline for submission is 5pm on Monday 7th March.
